Other schools including Florida Atlantic, Pennsylvania and Eastern Carolina were in the mix, but once the Panthers entered the picture they immediately shot to the top.
"It's a great school, great program, great coaches and just overall they're growing in general," he said. "It just seemed like a great fit for me. It's in a good location down in south Florida, they have a great team and a young coach. I get along with them great and I'm just really looking forward to getting out there."
